Membership

Membership at York Old Mill Tennis Club is seasonal and renewed annually. Existing members are invited to renew each year, with remaining spots offered to individuals on the waiting list once renewals are complete. Priority is given to residents of Toronto.

Membership Fees & Policies

Membership fees, renewal timing, and refund policies are outlined below.

Adult & Senior Membership: $265 (incl HST)

Junior Membership: $120 (incl HST)

Returning member registrations typically begin in early March. Those on the waitlist will be contacted by the YOMTC Membership Director after the member renewal period has closed.

Annual Membership Renewal

Full refunds less a $50 administration fee will be issued for membership cancellations within 10 days after your registration date. No refund issued after 10 days following date of registration.

Waiting List

  • Members Only: Courts are restricted for members and their guests only except for our open public hours. 

    Cancelling Membership: Memberships are non-transferrable unless approved by the Board of Directors. Members may cancel their membership by writing to the membership director of the club; however, no refunds will be given unless determined by the Board. 

    Guests: Members are allowed 4 guest bookings per season at a cost of $10 per booking. Each guest may play a maximum of 4 times per season. A reservation must be made in Court Reserve by selecting ‘guest’ and payment is made at the time of booking. A guest waiver will also be signed once per season and will be part of the guest booking process. 

    Volunteer expectations: YOMTC is a volunteer run/led community club which allows members to enjoy low membership fees. Members are expected to contribute a few hours each season to maintaining the club and volunteering for duties. At the time of your membership renewal, you will be asked what area you would most like to volunteer for. Throughout the season, you may be contacted for help. 

    Respectful behaviour: Members and guests must conduct themselves in a courteous and responsible manner. They must refrain from violent, threatening, abusive language or behaviour. 

    Complaints: Any member can report inappropriate conduct or violation of club rules. A written report outlining details of the incident should be submitted to the Executive as soon as practical after the incident.  

    Pets: Pets must be supervised to ensure they do not disturb playing members. They must be leashed and, in the care, and control of a designated person when on club property. Pets are not permitted on the courts or in the clubhouse. Any animals that cause a disturbance, which includes barking or act in a threatening manner, which includes growling or lunging at people, must be removed from the premises.  

    Service Animals: Service animals will be accommodated in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its associated regulations. 

    Children: Children are always welcome but must be supervised to ensure they don’t disturb playing members. 

    Consideration of neighbours: Keep noise to a minimum in consideration of neighbours. 

    Consumption of alcohol/smoking/cannabis use: Alcohol consumption is not permitted on club property unless for a sanctioned event where a permit from the City is obtained. Smoking or vaping either tobacco or cannabis is not permitted. 

    Access to clubhouse: Access to clubhouse is for members and guests of members only. 

    Use of clubhouse facilities: Use of TV, kitchen appliances etc. is for all members. Please be considerate and clean any dishes you use. The fridge is for the use of club events only. Do not leave your personal food or drinks in the fridge.  

Club Members can bring a limited number of guests each season for just $15. Please register your guests through Court Reserve when booking a court.
