How do I become a member of York Old Mill Tennis Club?
Membership renewals take place each spring. Any remaining spots are offered to people on the waiting list.Is there a waiting list?
Yes. Adult membership is in high demand, and a waiting list is maintained during the season. Currently, the wait list is about 5 yearsHow long is the waiting list?
Wait times vary each year depending on renewals, with a limited number of spots opening per season.Do I need to live nearby to join?
Toronto residents are given priority, but membership is not limited to a specific neighbourhood.When does the tennis season run?
The club operates from May through October, weather depending.Can I try the club before becoming a member?
Non-members may participate in select programs, such as clinics, summer camps or during public hours, when available. -
How much does membership cost?
Membership fees are set annually and listed on the Membership page.Are memberships transferable or refundable?
Memberships are non-transferable. Refunds follow the club’s posted refund policy.What if I miss the annual renewal period for renewing my membership?
Returning members are given first right of refusal to renew their annual membership. If they miss the renewal period, they are removed from the membership list. If they wish to get back in, they have to put themselves on the waitlist again. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that their contact information is up to date. No exceptions can be made.
What does it mean to be a volunteer-run club?
Members are asked to contribute a small amount of volunteer time each season to support club operations.Can I bring guests?
Yes. Members may bring a limited number of guests per season, subject to club policies and fees. -
How do I book a court?
All courts must be booked through CourtReserve, with all players listed.How many bookings can I make
each week?
Members may hold a set number of advance bookings, with additional same-day bookings if courts are available. Please check CR.What if I need to cancel a court?
Cancellations must be made in advance through CourtReserve. Late cancellations may result in a fee.What happens if it rains?
Courts are cancelled by the club as needed, and notifications are sent automatically.Can I keep playing if the next slot is open?
Permission must be obtained from the court attendant on duty. -
What programs does the club offer?
YOMTC offers clinics, private lessons, social play, ladders, Intercountyteams, and junior programs.Do you offer junior programs and camps?
Yes. Junior clinics and summer camps are offered, and camps are open to non-members.Do I need experience to join clinics or lessons?
No. Programs are available for a range of skill levels.How do player ratings work?
Ratings help support fair play, program placement, and team selection for both adults and juniors. Ratings assessments are conducted by the Club Pros.How are Intercounty teams selected?
Teams are selected based on ratings, tryouts, and coach assessment. -
Is the club competitive or social?
YOMTC offers both social and competitive tennis opportunities.What behaviour is expected at the club?
Members and guests are expected to act respectfully and follow club rules.Are children allowed?
Yes, and children must be supervised at all times.Are pets allowed?
Pets must be leashed and are not permitted on courts or inside the clubhouse. -
Where is the club located?
5 Catherine Avenue, across from Étienne Brûlé Park and near Old Mill subway station.Is parking available?

I can’t seem to log in and am having issues? How can I get help?
We will do our best to address any questions, however using an AI tool may be an easy way to get immediate help. Use our contact page to reach out to us. Bear with us as we are a volunteer board and will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
I need to access my records from previous seasons on the old court reservation system. Can I still get access to that?
