Unfortunately, most clubs in the GTA are at capacity with waitlists lasting several years. There has been a massive surge of interest in tennis recently and Toronto's current facilities have not been able to keep up with the demand. However, City of Toronto Community Tennis Clubs offer weekly public hours, so be sure to look them up so you have an opportunity to play on courts with proper surfaces.

Let's hope the City of Toronto recognizes the need for more community tennis clubs. The large waitlists would suggest there is a high demand from Toronto residents who are willing to pay a nominal membership fee which ensures proper maintenance of courts. One possible solution, aside from having to find land to build new courts on, would be to convert some of the existing low quality (and sometimes dangerous) asphalt cement public courts to member based community tennis clubs. Much of the infrastructure is already in place, and new court surfacing along with amenity construction is a worthwhile and self sustaining investment for the city.

Junior Membership Renewals (March 1 - March 22)
New Junior Memberships begin March 23 onwards
New for 2024: We will be offering two tiers of junior memberships to best suite your needs.
Junior FULL Membership: gives access to full court booking privileges and junior programs and camps. Junior PROGRAM Membership: gives access to junior programs and summer camps.

All juniors participating in YOMTC programs must now be members. New Junior Registration begins on March 23, 2024.
Registration Process

The YOMTC uses an online registration and payment system for all annual memberships (returning and new).
Returning member 2024 Registration will be open from March 1st - March 22nd, 2024.
Important Notes For Returning Members:
Returning YOMTC members have a protected period to renew their 2024 membership. If you have not renewed your membership within the protected window, your membership will then be offered to those on our waitlist. Please note that the Club currently has in excess of 800 people on the waitlist. Don’t be disappointed so be sure to register before the deadline. Returning members will receive an e-mail notification along with registration instructions.

Please Note: If for whatever reason you do not receive the email notifications, you can still complete the renewal process by simply logging in to your YOMTC member account to complete registration and payment. This can be done anytime during the renewal window.

Important Notes for New Members:
New members from the waitlist will only be able to register beginning mid to late March 23rd, 2024 if the club has not reached its maximum capacity of Adult members. If your name is on the waitlist you will be contacted by the YOMTC Membership Director as 2024 memberships become available. Please ensure membership@oldmilltennis.com is on your email safe sender list.
